Der Eigentümer wird auch elektrisch fahren, wobei die Sonnenkollektoren das Auto aufladen, sodass energieeffizientes Wohnen nicht nur auf das Haus beschränkt ist, sondern auch für den Transport gilt.

In Luz, in der Nähe von Lagos, entstehen 7 Villen, die über das Passivhausprinzip hinausgehen. Sie sollen ganz unabhängig mit einer eigenen Energiebank belegt werden können. Für ein 350 m2 großes Grundstück mit 1.500.000 € liegt der Einstiegspreis etwas höher

Der Benzinpreis schwankt in Spanien um 1,25 € und in Portugal um 1,45 €, in den Niederlanden um 1,60 €.
